Welcome 2024.
Christmas, farming conference, beach trip, weather, ditches, funding bids and more drains!
Welcome back to the breathe slow publication. I’ve got a couple of spaces for clients if you want some 1:1 breathwork coaching. It’s always a pay if you can type of scenario, so don’t let cash get in the way of breathing your way to a better health and better life.
So self assessment is done and I submitted the funding bid is submitted. So I thought I’d write a bit of an update. Remember if you like you can pay to subscribe to this very infrequent publication here… this doesn’t provide you with any perks other than a warm fuzzy feeling inside knowing you’re supporting me to work on our project.
Christmas is good, isn’t it? The young uns finished school super late so we were straight into it! I am starting to think this is the best way round, not too much time to overthink everything! We had an amazing community Christmas dinner, with about 20 of us. It was a feast and a celebration! Hannah from the The Inkpot provided us with an amazing Organic turkey and some organic beef from her permaculture farm just over the boarder in Lincolnshire. It was so very delicious, and we still have bones for broth in the freezer.
The Oxford Real Farming Conference (ORFC) has signalled the start of the year for the last 3 years. First year as a delegate at the online conference and the last two years as a staff member. What a treat it is. A super space to meet people and boost our enthusiasm for all things farming related which comes in the very darkest few weeks of the year. It was amazing to support Henry from the Bristol Fungarium with his mushroom talk. These are some of their amazing UK strain medicinal mushrooms. It’s always fascinating to me how mushrooms entwine themselves in our lives, you should hear the story of how the team at the Fungarium got this Lionsmane mushroom (front).
Between Christmas and the ORFC we has a few drain issues…. below is a shit photo.
We had some more weather and had to dig some more ditches.
Some different weather which took out some trees.
and a beach trip.
we also went to see my nan, aunt and uncle.
Most of our post conference energy has been spent clearing the barn and putting together a funding application. Here is the short video which was attached to our application.
There will be more to come…. stay tuned, if you’ve got this far thanks, if you haven’t subscribed already you can here…
This year I’m trying to practice a daily gratitude which I post on my Instagram stories. You can join in
